			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A few years ago, I purchased the <a href="http://saritarecommends.com/butterflyplr_107.htm" target="_blank">Butterfly Marketing software</a>.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s phenomenal software, and does exactly what it&#8217;s designed to do:   grow your list, manage your membership sites, handle upsells, downsells, and cross-sells, and do it all with a built-in affiliate program.</p>
<p>I love this software and use it for many of my sites.</p>
<p>Only one problem.  Last year, the man who developed the software, the man who changed so many lives with his Butterfly Marketing strategy, <em><strong>gave the software away for free</strong></em>.</p>
<p>I wasn&#8217;t mad.  Not really.  I was just kind of&#8230;jealous <img src='http://thebreakthroughmarketer.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> .</p>
<p>But now, that man, Mike Filsaime, has taken it to a level I can&#8217;t really believe.</p>
<p>He&#8217;s made some serious changes in his business, so he decided to make the <a href="http://saritarecommends.com/butterflyplr_107.htm" target="_blank">Butterfly Marketing software</a>, the $2,000 gem that so many of us love, open source.</p>
<p>Yes, I said open source.</p>
<p>What does that mean?</p>
<p>Basically, he&#8217;s giving anyone who wants it 100% totally free private label rights&#8230;to the source code.</p>
<p>Let me explain the implications of that.</p>
<p>Usually, if you buy PLR to some software, you can rename it, give it new graphics, and market it as your own.  But you can&#8217;t touch the code.  You get the right to re-label the software, and that&#8217;s it.</p>

<p>First you need to create a video that is concise, to the point and entertaining.  The objective is to entice the people who see your video to visit your website.</p>
<p>You can create a live action video using a digital video camera, a webcam, or even your mobile phone.</p>
<p>If you want to demonstrate a product or provide a video tutorial, you can use a screen-capture tool like Camtastia or Camstudio.</p>
<p>Another option is to create what are called promotional videos.  These are simple videos that are similar to commercials, and you can create them quickly and easily with Windows Movie Maker, which is installed on most PCs, or with an online tool such as Jing or Animoto.</p>

<p>Next is actually submitting your video.  There are several video sharing sites, and you can manually submit your video to all of them.  But if you want to save time, try using a submission tool like Magic Traffic Bot, which will allow you to submit your videos to the video directories automatically.</p>
<p>When you submit your video, you need to wait for it to be approved by the administrators of the video sharing site.  After your video is approved, it will be picked up webmasters of other sites and by other video directories that republish content from these main sites, giving you more of an audience.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s what it means to have your video go viral.  In fact, create a Google Alert for your video name and watch to see how far just one video will get you.  Just be sure to put your URL in the description and in the video itself, so you get a good amount of traffic from your video marketing efforts.</p>

<p>You have your site completed and uploaded.  You&#8217;re ready to start selling. So now you need to let people know what you have to offer!</p>
<p>There are several techniques you can use to get targeted traffic to your website. Here are my top 7 traffic generation strategies:</p>
<p><strong>1.  Email Marketing</strong> &#8211; Send an email <span style="text-decoration: underline;">to your own list</span> and make them an offer!  This is one of the most overlooked traffic generation strategies, and it can be the most lucrative.</p>
<p><strong>2.  Video Marketing</strong> &#8211; Create <em>interesting, informative</em> videos and publish them on video sharing sites like Youtube.</p>
<p><strong>3.  Article Marketing</strong> &#8211; Write <span style="text-decoration: underline;">useful, high-quality</span> articles and share them in the article directories such as EzineArticles and ArticlesBase</p>
<p><strong>4.  Pay-Per-Click</strong> &#8211; Create advertisements that will be displayed on the search results pages <em>when your prospects search for your keywords</em>.  <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>Monitor your clicks closely</strong></em></span> so that you&#8217;re getting a good return on your investment.</p>
<p><strong>5.  Twitter</strong> &#8211; Take advantage of it while it&#8217;s hot!  Search Twitter and <span style="text-decoration: underline;">send direct messages</span> to anyone who is talking about your topic, inviting them to visit your site.</p>
<p><strong>6.  Solo Mailing</strong> &#8211; Contact other business owners <strong><em>who share your target market</em></strong> and pay them to mail a promotion for you, your product, or your service.</p>
<p><strong>7.  Forum Marketing</strong> &#8211; Join the conversation where your ideal prospects &#8220;hang out,&#8221; and <span style="text-decoration: underline;">provide actionable content</span>.  Be consistent and you will gain your readers&#8217; trust over time.</p>
<p>So why are these my favorites techniques?</p>
<p>Simply put, using these methods to generate traffic ensures that the people who actually click on a link to visit my web page are in my target market.</p>
<p>For example, let&#8217;s say you watch an awesome video on Youtube.  It&#8217;s hilarious and holds your attention to the end, where the producer invites you to visit their website.  The content of the video was fantastic, but the video topic doesn&#8217;t really interest you beyond its entertainment value.  How likely are you to follow the call to action in the video?</p>
<p>On the other hand, let&#8217;s say you find a fantastic article on Ezinearticles.com that explains <strong><em>exactly </em></strong>how the problem you&#8217;re having was created.  At the end of the article, the author invites you to download a video tutorial that shows you <strong>step-by-step</strong> how to solve the problem.  Chances are you&#8217;ll jump at the chance to get your hands on that video!</p>
<p>So when you click the link on the article, you are already pre-qualified; you are in the target market.  For the video, even if you were to visit the producer&#8217;s website, if you&#8217;re not in that target market, chances are you won&#8217;t bring any revenue to that website owner.<!-- pingbacker_start --><br />

<p>First, remember that the audience listening to the radio consists of the general population. You won&#8217;t be able to single out a specific group of people and ask them to listen to your commercial while the rest of the audience turns a deaf ear to what you have to say.</p>
<p>Since your radio ad will be heard by everyone listening, be sure that your product or offer is something that has mass appeal.</p>
<p>Even though you want to make your message compelling to a very broad audience, you might be helped by the fact that most radio stations broadcast to specific demographics or distinct age groups.</p>
<p>For example, people in the 30-50 age group are most likely to tune into classic rock station while the Top 40s are generally on the radios of those in their teens and early twenties.</p>
<p>So if you&#8217;re able to identify your target market by age or other demographics, you might be able to reach your intended audience simply by selecting the right radio stations for your ads.</p>
<p>Next, tailor your offer to the medium.  By that I mean be aware of what seems to be producing well for other advertisers and create offers that have a proven success rate.  Over time, the offers that have been successful on radio include:</p>

<li>Self-Help Materials</li>

<p>Of course there are many other items that can be advertised quite successfully with a great radio commercial, but this list should give you a head start.</p>

<p>The first thing I want to clear up is &#8220;What the heck is a niche?&#8221;<span id="more-112"></span></p>
<p>The word &#8220;niche&#8221; is defined as: &#8220;A special area of demand for a  product or service.&#8221;  So in marketing to a specific niche, you&#8217;re  offering your products and services to the people who are most  interested in that particular product or service and not to the world in  general.</p>
<p>A lot of big businesses use niche marketing. For example, a company  that makes computers and computer accessories might advertise all-in-one  copy/printer/scanners to the home computer user while at the same time  advertising single function machines to large businesses.</p>
<p>One of the things that make niche marketing so attractive is that you  can have a smaller advertising budget. It costs less to advertise to a  specific group of people than it does to advertise to a broad market.</p>
<p>The key, of course, is to promote products and services that the  market wants or needs the most.  And that requires you to do a little  bit of research.  Look at your market and find out:</p>
<p>- What kind of trade articles or books do they read?<br />
- Do they  have clubs or are members of particular organizations?<br />
- Does the  group have an insane passion for their hobby or topic<br />
of interest?<br />
- Do they eat, sleep, and breathe their hobby?<br />
- Do they actively  seek more information related to their subject?</p>
<p>And most importantly, does the market have the money to spend?</p>

<p>You&#8217;re invited to be a guest speaker at the local High  School to explain to the students the importance of hand-washing in  preventing the spread of a highly-contagious staph infection that&#8217;s  invading the country.<span id="more-18"></span></p>
<p>During your talk, you notice that, despite  your level of expertise and the importance of the subject matter, your  audience seems uninterested or even confused.  It&#8217;s at this point you  realize there is a big difference between knowing a subject well and  communicating it to others effectively.</p>
<p>These 10 helpful tips  will help you the next time you need to get your message across.<br />
1.    Know your audience<br />
Take the time  to learn the demographics of your audience.  You&#8217;ll need to design your  speech to the appropriate age and education level of the majority of  listeners.  A doctorate-level thesis won&#8217;t mean anything to the group of  high school students waiting to hear from you.  On  the other hand, a  simple, plain-speech presentation won&#8217;t interest a group of graduate  school students.  Tailor your speech to the audience, and provide them  with information at a level they can relate to.</p>
<p>2.    Start  strong<br />
At the very beginning of your speech, spend some time  introducing the subject matter defining the terms and acronyms that  you&#8217;ll be using during your talk.  Use this opportunity to assess how  aware your audience is about the topic.  You can do this by asking “How  many of you have heard of…”  This interaction will also help you to  engage your listeners.</p>
<p>3.    Use appropriate visual aids<br />
You  know that a picture is worth a thousand words.  In some cases, you might  want to use photos or other images to demonstrate important facts about  your topic.  This is especially critical when you&#8217;re discussing  abstract ideas.  When you use visual aids, be sure to allow a slight  pause so that the audience can absorb the impact.  Once they’ve had a  few seconds to take it in, they’ll be better able to mentally connect  the visual aid with your point.</p>
<p>4.    Don&#8217;t Memorize<br />
Use an  outline to organize your speech, but don&#8217;t memorize it word-for-word.   It may be earsier to keep track of where you are if you put your outline  on small note cards instead of whole sheets of paper.  You want to  strive to memorize ideas and concepts rather than sentences and  paragraphs.  Your presentation will be much more natural that way.</p>
<p>5.     Be careful with humor<br />
If you like to use humor to connect with  your audience, be aware of appropriate points in your speech where humor  will add to your message instead of detracting from it.  Always refrain  from using off-color jokes, especially those that apply to a specific  group of people such as jokes about blondes or Hispanics or men.  Timed  correctly, a little humor can help you build rapport with your audience.</p>
<p>6.     Look &#8216;em in the eye<br />
Your message will be more readily-accepted  by the audience if you&#8217;re able to connect with them both visually and  verbally.  Focusing on one specific person or area of the group might  make the listeners uncomfortable, so be sure you gaze moves around the  entire room.  Making appropriate eye contact will keep your audience  involved during your speech.</p>
<p>7.    Use your voice well<br />
When  you know the subject matter well, you might have the tendency to talk  very fast.  Keep in mind that your audience may not be as well-versed on  the topic as you are.  Speak clearly and at a pace that allows your  audience to absorb the message.  Be sure everyone in the room can hear  you without straining, and use brief pauses and repetition to emphasize  key points.</p>
<p>8.    Know your stuff<br />
It&#8217;s essential that you know  your facts when delivering a presentation.  Make sure you understand  any issues or controversies involved in the topic.  Spend some time  brainstorming on questions your listeners might have, and be sure that  your speech answers those questions.</p>
<p>9.    Interact with your  audience<br />
Once your presentation is complete, encourage your listeners  to ask questions and take enough time to provide thorough answers. The strategy is fairly simple:  if you’re not an expert, simply find out  who the expert is, contact them, and interview them.</p>
<p>Interviewing  experts is something that’s done in every industry and in many  different venues.  Look at the talk shows on radio and television – they  bring information to their audiences by interviewing experts.  It’s  something you can do, as well.<br />
1.     Decide on the topic.  Ideally, this should be an area where your  clients and subscribers regularly ask for help.</p>
<p>2.    Identify  several different experts.  That way if your first choice is  unavailable, you can move to the next name on your list.  The best place  to find people to interview is rtironline.com.  These are people who  want to be interviewed so they can get publicity.</p>
<p>3.    Pick a  date to hold your teleseminar and contact the expert well in advance so  they have time to put it on their calendar.</p>
<p>4.    Get a  teleconference line.  Be sure to practice using it so you’re prepared on  the day of the live call.</p>
<p>5.    Set up your web pages.  You will  need a place for people to sign up for the call, and a thank you page  that gives them the call details.</p>
<p>6.    Set up your autoresponder  campaign.  Your autoresponder campaign should send a registration  confirmation and also remind them the day before the call and on the  morning of the call.  All of the messages should include the call in  details.</p>
<p>7.    Follow-up by phone if you don’t have a commitment  from your expert.  Once you have an expert on board, update your opt-in  page with their information and send an email to your list inviting them  to sign up.</p>
<p>8.    Prepare your interview questions if the expert  doesn’t have a presentation prepared (many will have a set formula they  like to use).  You could even have your subscribers ask the questions  they need answers to when they sign up for the call.</p>
<p>9.    During  the call, follow the agreed-upon format and questions.  BE SURE YOU  RECORD THE CALL.</p>
<p>10.    Then be sure to follow-up.  Send the  expert a special thank you (go above and beyond, not just a little  2-line email message).  Also follow up with your subscribers and ask  them for their feedback.</p>

<p>Here  are the top 5:</p>
<h2>1.     Immediately after purchase</h2>
<p>Ask your customers for referrals as  soon as they complete a purchase from you.  At this time, their  excitement and enthusiasm are contagious.  They will be gung-ho to get  started with your material and will want to share it with everyone.</p>
<h2>2.     Immediately after they consume the material</h2>
<p>As soon as your  client finishes with your content, ask them who they know who might  benefit from what you have to offer.</p>
<p>How do you know this?  Ask  them!  As part of your sales process, always follow up with your  customers to provide advice and guidance on using the information you’ve  provided.  Part of that follow-up should be a survey of some sort so  you can find out when they’ve finished with the information.</p>
<h2>3.     Immediately after they receive the main benefit from the material</h2>
<p>This  may seem to be the same as #2, but it’s slightly different.  For  example, if your customer purchased your book on how to grow roses in  Arizona, you might ask them how they enjoyed the book – and that would  be immediately after they consumed the material.</p>
<p>A few months  later, your follow-up sequence might ask them how they’re doing with  their roses.  If they respond that their garden is blooming beautifully  and they’re up for an award, they’re now receiving the main benefit of  reading your book.  Ask them to tell their friends about your book!</p>
<h2>4.     Immediately after they give you a positive testimonial</h2>
<p>Your  customer follow-up should always ask for testimonials.  When your  clients provide you with a positive review, contact them and ask them if  they know anyone else just like them who you could help.</p>
<h2>5.     A month before their anniversary</h2>
<p>When your clients are nearing  their one-year anniversary as your customer, contact them and remind  them of all the great things you’ve done together over the course of the  year.  Ask them if they’ll share your contact details with some of  their friends so you can help them, too.</p>
<p>This is particularly  powerful if you have a continuity program.  Some companies offer a free  year of membership for clients who refer a certain number of new  clients.</p>
<p>These methods are not mutually exclusive.  You can ask  for referrals whenever you want, and you can do so multiple times, even  if someone has already given you referrals.  People who like to help  their friends and associates will continue to want to help even more  people.<!-- pingbacker_start --><br />
